Onkaparinga has won 21 Premier Country Championship titles since 2002, the Onkaparinga Swimming Club has just won the 2026 Swimming SA Country Championships title in Port Pirie SA. Next year’s Championship event will be held at Murray Bridge and the club continues to enbrace supporting swimmers at this Championship event.
The club is guided by Head Coach Pat Wheeler who has an Advanced licence with Open Water Swimming, Masters and Swimmer with Disability accreditation.
Onkas swimming environment is small and fully supports an inclusive pathway specialising in special needs and offers squad training to juniors through to masters members. The club has a strong senior group of swimmers and welcomes new members all year round.
Onkaparinga Swimming Club are up and running with indoor sessions over winter months. Curently having lane space at the Summit Aquatic & Leisure Centre at Mt Barker. The program opporates weekly and with a Special pm session Sunday afternoons at the Adelaide Aquatic Centre in North Adelaide.

How We Started
The Onkaparinga Swimming Club was re formed in 1990 after being in recession by a band of dedicated community members.
35 years later it continues to grow because of the successful swimming program on offer to members of the Club.
Pat Wheeler is the Head Coach and has current qualifications with an Advance licence and OWS, MAS & SWD accreditation.

The Onkaparinga Swim Club continues to successfully develop pathways so solid swimming performances can be achieved at all forms of competition.
