News Letter 2023
Coaches
Report May 2023
The Club newsletter
aims to inform and motivate members. It includes specific information for
swimmers to plan for achievement. Aiming
to provide a supportive and positive training environment.
Squad training is back at the Army base now and again
at North Adelaide on Sunday afternoons, Coaches have been working hard at
setting their own goals and intentions with certification and accreditation
requirements for the seasons next few months.
It is the end
of May, can’t believe we will move into the 6th month of the year
and also the last ¼ of our swimming year. Swimming sessions have been a mix of
skills, speed with inclusions of turns, dives, at 3 out of the 5 sessions
currently offered. Dryland has started last
week and 5 swimmers made use of this session which was held in Woodside. There
has been some sickness this month and we need to be aware of coming to training
sick. Colds, flu and COVID have been with some families this last month, so
stay well.
It is only
weeks away to the club camp which is at Broken Hill on the long week end in
June. Some families are taking bikes and making the most of the time while up
there. Broken Hill last night contacted me and have asked for the $250 fee
to be paid into their Account to help them prepare with food etc… of the clubs
visit.

JUNE – Club Fundraising
Fundraising continues with Bunnings BBQ, and the next two fundraisers are extremely important to help support the swimming program as lane hire changes with fees for lane hire increasing, we need families to help and attend. Your support and assistance at our upcoming events in June, July and August will be the In the Team App in comings days and tickets can be purchased.
Club Uniform
Bathers are being handed out when swimmers are at training and there are only a few to be collected. Thanks, Jo, for organising with suppliers.
They look great and I’m sure the swimmers with enjoy wearing them. If you have not collected your bathers, they are in the crate at the army pool.
If you need Jacket, coats polos please email Jo to see if we can help with new or S/H gear.
SA Carnivals & Events
Swimming SA Calendar – All entries are via swim central as usual and event can be viewed on the information page for each even.
